Ahead of the March 1st plastic bag ban, Council Member Chin will be distributing free reusable bags throughout District 1.
On February 15, we gave away hundreds of NYC Sanitation reusable bags at the Tribeca Greenmarket this weekend, right next to GrowNYC's compost station. New Yorkers are ready to end the days of single use plastic bag waste and move towards a cleaner, greener NYC.
Our next reusable bag giveaways will be:
Saturday, February 29 between 11 am to 1 pm – on Grand St & Clinton St (in partnership with The City of New York Department of Sanitation)
Sunday, March 1 between 12 pm to 2 pm – on Grand St & East Broadway
